   This file used to own the type system (Zodiak + General Sans from Fontshare).
   theme.css is now the single source of truth, and the retired families are
   gone: two paid-CDN faces plus Newsreader plus Inter plus Plex Mono meant a
   migrated page downloaded five families to render two.

   Why the file still exists: ~9 pages load fonts.css and NOT theme.css. Left
   as-is they'd keep pulling Zodiak; deleted outright they'd lose --font-display
   /--font-body/--font-mono entirely and fall back to Times. So this now simply
   forwards to theme.css, which means every page converges on the same type
   system with zero HTML edits.

   Migration path: on each page still linking this file, replace the link with
   theme.css + kat-ui.css. When no page references fonts.css, delete it.
